The calculator and the articles have one job: make the true economics and the true legal rules easy to see, without softening them for marketing. Every figure carries its source and its vintage. Every claim about the law cites the statute or regulation. Nothing on this site is generated by a model without underlying data behind it.

We don’t take affiliate arrangements. Homeowners insurance referrals, mortgage lead-generation partnerships, and comparison- shopping monetization all pay well and would immediately convert this tool into an ad funnel. That would defeat the only asset it has, which is that the numbers are honest.

Three Grey Hairs LLC also publishes Exodus Cleric, a subscription iOS app for the day-counting and document-tracking work that follows any real state-residency change. The relationship between the two is disclosed in every place the calculator suggests it. Use whichever tool actually helps you.
